Learn to play 2 different types of instruments this summer!

First, students will learn to play steel drums from Trinidad. We will play typical steel pan music from the Caribbean, plus some other fun songs from many different cultures. Students will learn about the pan, where it came from; how it was developed, and how the pans are made.

Also, students will learn how to play hand bells. This kind of instrument is important in building teamwork and note reading abilities, while being fun at the same time. We will play music from many different cultures including: Brazil, Africa, China, Israel, Korea, Spain, Ireland, America and more!

We will end the week with a performance of the songs learned in camp.
