- Instructor: Mr. Jim Lewis – Mr. Lewis currently teaches science and engineering classes at John Dickinson High School. His degrees are in Physics and Earth Science and Astronomy. Research projects include topics in Astronomy, Nuclear Physics, Education, and Chemistry.

- Instructor: Andrew Bedell - Has been playing saxophone for twelve years. He studied with John Scarpulla of Tower of Power and Diana Ross before studying with Broadway woodwind artist Todd Groves. While at the University of Delaware he performed in its Jazz Ensembles and Chamber Ensembles on soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones as well as flute. Andrew also led his own jazz quintet, performing at numerous recitals and venues in Newark and Wilmington. As a freelance musician Andrew has played in horn sections, rock and funk bands, and big bands at venues such as the Knitting Factory, Starland Ballroom, and The Queen Theatre. He has also been a part of numerous recording sessions in New York and Delaware. As an educator Andrew has taught private saxophone lessons for six years. He directed his own big band while a sophomore and junior at the University of Delaware. He has also been on faculty at the University of Delaware Community Music School Jazz Camp. Andrew Bedell is currently performing and recording in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York while composing original music for his debut CD.
Camp objective: Students will put themselves in the explorers’ shoes as they learn about famous explorers, design maps, and write fictional logs of their adventures. independently for over 10 years, ranging in instruments of study from piano, to alto
saxophone, to voice. Along with extensive musical theatre and vocal jazz experience,
David has performed solo and in groups across Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and
New York. Currently David is working on his Bachelor in Music for Sound Recording Technology at Ithaca College located in Ithaca, New York.
